25 Best Marin County Wedding Venues

San Francisco has many great options for getting married; however, couples wanting to escape the City will find nearby Marin County as a great place to hold a wedding, particularly if they want a more laidback feel or more natural features. Having a wedding in Muir Woods is one of the more popular ideas and Marin County wedding venues, but below are others that you may not have heard of! 

1) Cavallo Point

Of all the Marin County wedding venues, this one has my favorite view with a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge amidst rolling hills. Couples will find six venues to choose from that can host up to 250 people at this venue with one of the best views in Marin County.

2) Deer Park Villa

Specializing in beautiful fairytale weddings, this Marin County wedding venue allows you to exchange vows in a gorgeous redwood grove beneath the towering trees, a perfect backdrop for photos. Have a truly enchanting wedding with a natural theme. 


3) Mill Valley Community Center

Rental Fee: $160 – $180/hour; 4-hour minimum
Deposit: $500 – $1,000 

Mill Valley Community Center is a very affordable Marin County wedding venue. The Cascade Room features a cathedral ceiling and wood floors with a built-in sound system and can hold 285 people with a dining setup. Residents of Mill Valley receive a small discount. There is an option for ceremonies in the redwoods.

4) Maan Farms

Packages: $9,440 – $18,880

Maan Farms provides all-inclusive service including use of an antique barn and covered patio, full setup, and a buffet dinner with options to upgrade. Packages vary based on time of day and number of guests. This site has an idyllic country charm with three ceremony sites including one with a view of Mt. Baker, surrounded by sunflowers. 

5) Old St. Hillary’s

Rental fee: $1,500 (3 hours)
Extra hours: $300/hour
Deposit: $500

Old St. Hillary’s is a hillside gothic chapel from the late 1800s overlooking the San Francisco Bay and Angel Island. It is a quaint and charming location with spectacular panoramic views for up to 125 people.

6) The Haven at Tomales

Craft your perfect wedding with your choice of a number of serene settings. Personal favorites include the Terraced Garden with a sweeping canyon view or in front of the waterfall tree. While there are many excellent Marin County wedding venues, The Haven at Tomales stands out for rustic elegance. 

7) Landmarks Art & Garden Center

Rental fee: $3,500 – $4,500 depending on guest count (8 hours)
Extra hours: $300/hour
Deposit: 50%

A beautiful, scenic seaside retreat awaits you at this Marin County wedding venue. Here you’ll find beautiful gardens and an old farmhouse, perfect for an elegant setting with up to 150 people. Located in charming Tiburon, you’ll have panoramic views that make for excellent photos. 

8) The Outdoor Art Club

Rental fee: $5,000 – $5,400

The Outdoor Art Club is a Mill Valley nonprofit organization that seeks to preserve and promote natural outdoor spaces. As such, it is a stunning location for an outdoor ceremony with a reception following in the century-old clubhouse. 

9) Olema House

A peaceful respite for a beautiful ceremony, the Olema House can host up to 150 people. The tranquil garden setting overlooks a small creek. Furthermore, there are two cottages and 22 guest rooms available for rental. 


10) Slide Ranch

Want a truly memorable location? Slide Ranch is a nonprofit organization with three excellent sites to choose from. Choose from a dome and campground, a yurt, or the Farm to Table Teaching Center with gardens. From 40 to 150 people, all three sites overlook the ocean. An added benefit of Slide Ranch is no corkage fees.


11) Unity In Marin

This church in Novato can be rented for a truly unique venue. From the Spanish Colonial style architecture to the beautiful courtyard with fountain, this is a truly charming setting. Rental includes a full commercial kitchen, Unity Hall, and full use of the courtyard and gardens, allowing you to customize your ceremony to your desire. 

12) China Cabin

Rental fee: $2,000 (6 hours)
Extra hours: $300/hour
Deposit: $750

If you are seeking an idyllic venue for a small, intimate ceremony, look no further than this unique venue that was built from the hull of a ship and now sits above the water with views of the San Francisco skyline from three decks. With golden accents, the cabin can make an elegant setting for a small wedding and reception.  

13) Kimball Hall

 Rental fee: $1,500 – $5,000 
Deposit: $1,000

Located in Belvedere’s St. Stephens Church, Kimball Hall describes itself as a “brilliant, light-splashed wooden box” with its well-adorned décor. The church sanctuary, receptions hall, and outdoor spaces are available. The church holds up to 250 guests while the reception space fits up to 150 with additional courtyard seating for 60. 

14) University of the Redlands Marin Campus

Rental fee: $1,000 – $3,500 (six venues to choose from)

The University of the Redlands is a beautiful campus with 14 acres of gardens. The wooded setting features six venues; however, my personal favorite is Alexander Hall, a stunning indoor reception area with a stone, castle-like exterior. Geneva Terrace provides another excellent option while the entire campus presents many opportunities for photos. 

15) Acqua Hotel

If you dream of hosting a regal affair, the Acqua Hotel is a Marin County wedding venue that you’ll want to look into. Make an entrance down a grand spiral staircase before saying “I do” to a backdrop of Mt. Tamalpais and Richardson Bay. This venue offers full turnkey event services, meaning they will handle all details and logistics letting you immerse yourself in the occasion. 

16) Stemple Creek Ranch

There are many choices for ceremony sites here. A favorite of mine is a grove of eucalyptus trees. The property’s large barn makes a great location for the reception and features an outdoor deck. With views of the West Marin Hills and Steeple Creek Ranch’s farm to table dining, this is a great location. 

17) Corinthian Yacht Club

Rental fee: $2000 – $8000

18) Old Mill Park (Mill Valley)
Rental fee: $175 – $275 / hour

19) Pacheco Ranch Winery

Rental fee: $3000 – $4500
Ceremony Fee : $1500 (required for ceremony only events)

20) Maple Lawn Events

Rental fee: $5000 – $7000
Ceremony Only : $2500

21) Stonetree Estate

Package per person : $79 – $144
Ceremony : $1495
Venue : $995 – $4495

22) Ondine Sausalito
