Hotel Villagio Wedding

Check out this Hotel Villagio wedding in Yountville, where Keith and Tricia took their wedding photos together. They were visiting from out of state and wanted to have some nice wedding portraits at the same hotel they were staying in (and got married in) during their trip. While they only had me for the couples portraits, they actually held a very private wedding elopement ceremony before I met them! They did not want / need any photos of the actual ceremony (their words) since they wanted it to be a special union and celebration with just them two and the officiant…wanting to keep the precious memories intimately between themselves. The romance and joy in their faces told me they had an amazing ceremony and were able to tell each other everything that they held in their hearts aloud. This was my first Hotel Villagio wedding and from this experience I hope it is not the last!

As we walked the Hotel Villagio grounds and surrounding areas, I was immediately drawn to the geometric lines from the room stairways. I am a fan of abstract shapes, but also symmetry and lines and knew I had to get some fun shots for them for my favorite photos from the wedding. It was amusing photographing them here, as we maneuvered people walking by and the natural height changes dealing with stairs. Fortunately, with a little squatting and tippy toeing, I was able to have the two lovebirds at even heights, just as they are on level ground.

As you will see in the images below, a Hotel Villagio wedding shoot offers a little bit of everything – the classic vineyard, a scenic garden, and beautiful landscapes to play with. Napa County is seemingly the perfect location to take photos in, being surrounded by rolling hills and year round sun.
