50 Best Southern California Wedding Venues Ultimate Planning Guide to the 50 Best Southern California Wedding Venues (with Prices and Photos) Southern California is an iconic location renowned around the world for sunshine and a perfect climate. Thus, it is not surprising that this area has some of the premier wedding venues for any season. Here are some of my personal favorite Southern California wedding venues.  1) Casino San Clemente Rental fee: $2,600 – $8,200 Modeled after a Catalina Island dance hall, this Orange County property was frequented by celebrities throughout its history. You’ll find a variety of spaces to choose from including a Rock Garden and Grand Ballroom. The Patio of the Stars is a great place for hosting a cocktail hour.  2) Inn of the Seventh Ray Rental fee: Inquire for rates Los Angeles’ “most romantic restaurant” can be the site for your romantic nuptials. From a small wedding at the Waterfall Patio or Creekside Patio to a mid-sized celebration at the Fountain Patio with a gazebo, hill, and waterfall, you’ll have a romantic, upscale experience at this location.  3) Darlington House Rental fee: $3,800 – $5,500Deposit: 50% San Diego’s Darlington House is one of my personal favorite Southern California wedding venues. You’ll find a customizable space with outdoor gardens, a courtyard, and beautiful charm. You’ll feel like you’ve been transported into the past with its traditional California design.  4) Le Haute Desert Aerie Rental fee: Submit contact form for quote Set in the Mojave Desert, Le Haute Desert Aerie creates a cactus strewn oasis amidst the rocky terrain. Your guests will cherish the memories under stringed twinkling lights with a Bohemian style while your special night is lit by the stars of the Milky Way.  5) The Harper Packages: Starting at $9,500 If a micro-wedding is your goal, Orange County’s The Harper will provide you with a modern venue with a bright and airy feel. There are a number of packages available which include 7 hours of venue rental, buffet, chairs, décor, alcohol, and many other perks.  6) The Lafayette Hotel Rental fee: Submit RFP for custom quote A boutique hotel in San Diego, the Lafayette Hotel provides a wealth of options for your special day. Exchange your vows in the conservatory with funky artistic touches or say “I do” on a balcony overlooking the Weissmuller Pool. Then journey to either the Louisiana or Mississippi Ballroom to dance the night away.    7) Japanese Friendship Garden Rental fee: $450 – $860 per hourDeposit: $500 – $800 refundable The Japanese Friendship Garden is a hidden gem tucked away in San Diego. With some of the most elegant gardens you’ve ever seen, you’ll be blown away. My personal favorite is Upper Garden for an outdoor wedding and reception including a bonsai garden, koi pond, and moon viewing deck. The Earth Bridge makes for epic pictures.  8) Ole Hanson Beach Club Rental fee: Inquire for rates Set on the oceanfront in San Clemente, Ole Hanson Beach Club is one of the best waterfront Southern California wedding venues. Exchange vows on a beautiful lawn in front of a wooden arch with the Pacific Ocean in the background before retreating into the main room of this Spanish villa by the sea.  9) The Ace Hotel Rental fee: Submit contact form for info If you are longing for a Palm Springs wedding, one of the most popular venues is the Ace Hotel. The staff here specializes in creating custom, stress-free experiences, allowing you to fully transform the space to fit your desires.  10) Kimberly Crest House & Gardens Rental fee: Inquire for rates Located in the San Bernardino area, Kimberly Crest House & Gardens is an 1897 Victorian mansion that allows for a European style wedding with six acres of Italian gardens and features including waterfalls, curved staircases, and terraced gardens.  11) Villa De Martini Rental fee: Submit contact info for rates Your Palm Springs wedding will make beautiful memories with this Southern California wedding venue. The ranch itself is beautiful with one of my personal favorite highlights the chandeliers hanging from the trees.  5) Veranda Rental fee: $840 for 7 hours The Veranda specializes in a variety of events including weddings and is one of the more surprisingly affordable Morgan Hill wedding venues out there. Whether you want a small, intimate affair or a grander ceremony, this is an excellent location for a couple wanting a DIY wedding.  6) La Foret  Rental fee: Inquire for rates La Foret is a top tier French restaurant that is a frequent setting to weddings. With expansive windows that open to a private garden, a La Foret wedding provides an excellent site and cuisine for your celebration. Picturesque views of the nearby creek make for an excellent location for photographs as well. If you prefer an outdoor wedding in a beautiful winery, this is an ideal location to exchange your vows. It is one of the more popular ones in the area, so be sure to make your reservation early to secure your date.  8) Toll House Hotel Rental fee: $1,250 – $2,500 Packages: $105 – $165 per guest  The Toll House Hotel is a wedding venue in Morgan Hill that provides event space for up to 220 guests. With a modern aesthetic, there are a variety of options including a courtyard with a tiled waterfall and a ballroom. Wedding reservations include a booking of the honeymoon suite. Some spaces, like the Court of Honor, can accommodate up to 600 people. Others, like the Balustrade Lawn and the Rodin Galleries, fit between 250 – 300 guests. Another thing to prepare for is certain ceremony spaces must be rented out with separate reception areas. The Balustrade Lawn is one example. If you book this space for your ceremony, you must also book one of the other rooms for your reception. Court of Honor At the very entrance of the Legion of Honor lies its stunning Court of Honor, completely surrounding you with elegant white columns and Rodin’s famous “The Thinker” statue acting as a fun security guard. The largest space for up to 450 – 600 guests that must be tented for receptions. Balustrade Lawn The large lawn in front of the Museum offers unparalleled views of the Golden Gate Bridge and Marin Headlands for ceremonies only up to 250 guests. Ceremonies can only be started at 6PM earliest to allow for the Museum to close properly and all patrons to leave.  Rodin Galleries With several of Rodin’s sculptures surrounding you, this room is perfect for small weddings and receptions for up to 80 seated guests or 200 standing guests. Terrace Level The Terrace Level is one of the more common venues to rent for a wedding at Legion of Honor since it allows for three different areas of the Museum to be used, which includes the cafe which naturally acts as a reception ready location. The Legion Of Honor Wedding Restrictions The biggest potential restriction of holding a wedding at the Legion of Honor is the fact that the party might end sooner than you would like (11PM) given the priceless pieces around you. You have to choose a caterer from their list but otherwise any other vendor must be approved by the museum beforehand.  The Legion Of Honor Engagement Photos The Legion of Honor is a popular location to visit for the interior, but arguably more impressive photographically on its exterior. With gorgeous white columns in their front courtyard, you can easily visit during and after business hours for photos. The architecture of this museum makes it one of the best places to shoot an engagement shoot in San Francisco. Best Times for a Legion of Honor Wedding San Francisco doesn’t have a consistently hot period of time (mid 80s for a short time September and October though) so it is pretty consistent year round.
