Whether you want a small, intimate affair or a grander ceremony, this is an excellent location for a couple wanting a DIY wedding.  6) La Foret  Rental fee: Inquire for rates La Foret is a top tier French restaurant that is a frequent setting to weddings. With expansive windows that open to a private garden, a La Foret wedding provides an excellent site and cuisine for your celebration. Picturesque views of the nearby creek make for an excellent location for photographs as well. Here are some of my favorite wedding venues in Stockton CA.  1) The Reserve at Spanos Park Packages: $43 – $79 per person The Reserve at Spanos Park is a beautiful location for your Stockton wedding. Packages include five hours of reception time, a custom buffet menu, and day of coordinator among other things. Capacity ranges from 180 indoors to 500 outdoors, making this an excellent choice for a variety of wedding sizes.  2) Elkhorn Banquet Hall Ceremony site fee: $1,000 Reception site fee: $1,200 – $3,000 Deposit: Half of total fees Elkhorn Banquet Hall is one of the most popular wedding venues in Stockton CA due to its relative affordability and wide range of facilities. Some spaces, like the Court of Honor, can accommodate up to 600 people. Others, like the Balustrade Lawn and the Rodin Galleries, fit between 250 – 300 guests. Another thing to prepare for is certain ceremony spaces must be rented out with separate reception areas. The Balustrade Lawn is one example. If you book this space for your ceremony, you must also book one of the other rooms for your reception. Court of Honor At the very entrance of the Legion of Honor lies its stunning Court of Honor, completely surrounding you with elegant white columns and Rodin’s famous “The Thinker” statue acting as a fun security guard. The largest space for up to 450 – 600 guests that must be tented for receptions. Balustrade Lawn The large lawn in front of the Museum offers unparalleled views of the Golden Gate Bridge and Marin Headlands for ceremonies only up to 250 guests. Ceremonies can only be started at 6PM earliest to allow for the Museum to close properly and all patrons to leave.  Rodin Galleries With several of Rodin’s sculptures surrounding you, this room is perfect for small weddings and receptions for up to 80 seated guests or 200 standing guests. Terrace Level The Terrace Level is one of the more common venues to rent for a wedding at Legion of Honor since it allows for three different areas of the Museum to be used, which includes the cafe which naturally acts as a reception ready location. The Legion Of Honor Wedding Restrictions The biggest potential restriction of holding a wedding at the Legion of Honor is the fact that the party might end sooner than you would like (11PM) given the priceless pieces around you. You have to choose a caterer from their list but otherwise any other vendor must be approved by the museum beforehand.  The Legion Of Honor Engagement Photos The Legion of Honor is a popular location to visit for the interior, but arguably more impressive photographically on its exterior. With gorgeous white columns in their front courtyard, you can easily visit during and after business hours for photos. The architecture of this museum makes it one of the best places to shoot an engagement shoot in San Francisco. Best Times for a Legion of Honor Wedding San Francisco doesn’t have a consistently hot period of time (mid 80s for a short time September and October though) so it is pretty consistent year round. Why not have the best of both worlds with this popular Half Moon Bay wedding venue? Located next to the ocean, The Hastings House boasts a garden that has been maintained by the same person since 1984, carefully cultivated to offer blooming flowers throughout the year. This is a great location for smaller weddings in Half Moon Bay since they only offer the space for ceremonies. This property features a total of three locations for ceremonies and two for receptions. However, my favorite is the Mar Vista Lawn, a gorgeous 7,500 square foot alfresco space perfect for pairing a ceremony with a cocktail reception. In addition to weddings, I have photographed several proposals here, and the nearby Manhattan Beach, that make this one of more popular locations for weddings in Half Moon Bay I have photographed in. Thomas Fogarty Winery (Woodside) Rental Fee: starting at $16,00. Expect to spend $70K +Rental Period: 6 hours, with additional hours available at an extra cost of $250 per 30 minutes.Capacity: 200 guestsHours: 2PM – 11PM Located just east of Half Moon Bay, this spectacular location is perched 2,000 feet above Silicon Valley and makes for one of the most breathtaking views in the area. Rental gives you use of four locations for nine hours. The Pavillion is the feature here with 4,000 square feet suspended high above the chardonnay vineyard. Created in the style of an old western town with a “main street” of buildings, there are tons of photo opportunities. Ceremony locations include a meadow or country chapel, and the expansive property can host up to 500 guests, making this one of the larger Half Moon Bay wedding venues. Domenico Winery (San Carlos) Domenico Winery offers a similar beauty and ambiance of a classic Napa winery located a short distance from San Francisco. The 6,200 sq ft. provides plentiful space to dance, eat, and drink with all your guests, making it the perfect reception space (although they do offer ceremonies as well) Check out my Domenico Winery wedding guide for more info La Costanera La Costanera is a modern Peruvian fusion restaurant in the heart of Half Moon Bay. They actually moved from their smaller storefront that overlooked the Pacific Ocean and moved into a much larger and more accommodating location during Covid, so this location is still new! It has stunning decor inside and offers 2 levels, 2 bars, and stunning views for your larger reception. This place is also one of the best Peruvian restaurants in the Bay Area in addition to being one of the newer Half Moon Bay wedding venues. The Wedding Garden provides a romantic harbor setting with cypresses and a white arbor while the Grand Ballroom features 4,400 square feet of space. There are plenty of dining packages as well. The Cascade Room features a cathedral ceiling and wood floors with a built-in sound system and can hold up to 285 seated with a dining setup and can also hold up to 400 standing. It is one of the only places I know outdoors that offers seating, so this is the perfect choice when considering other guests,. The seating is roughly 25 feet away so having a mic would be helpful if the guests are going to be seated.
